Your designs are yours

nano collects what it needs to run your account and keep your designs, and nothing more. This page says what that is, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted.
The short version
- No ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies.
- We never sell your data, and we don't train AI models on your designs.
- Your designs are visible only to the people you share them with.
- Email hello@nano.design and we'll delete your account and everything in it.
What we collect
- Your account. Your name and email address, and your profile picture if you sign in with Google or GitHub.
- Your work. Designs and their version history, comments, uploaded images and fonts, and the teams and projects you belong to.
- Sign-in sessions. A cookie keeps you signed in. Each session records the IP address and browser it was started from, so sessions can be secured.
- Connections. If you connect Figma, we keep an encrypted access token to read the files you import. Agents you connect get a key tied to your account.
- Payments. If you buy a plan, Stripe handles your card. We only keep your subscription's status.
AI agents
When you connect your own agent, such as Claude, Codex or Cursor, it reads and edits your designs on your behalf, with your access. What your agent's provider does with that content is covered by their privacy policy, not ours.
An agent can also start a guest workspace without an account. We use the network address it signs up from to limit sign-ups. Guest designs can be viewed by anyone with their share link, and unclaimed ones are deleted after 2 hours.
Who can see your designs
Designs in your drafts are private. Designs in a team project are visible to that team. If you turn on link sharing, anyone with the link can open the design, with the access you chose. You can turn it off at any time.
Uploaded images and fonts are served from long, unguessable links so designs can load them. Anyone who has one of those links can open the file.
Services that handle data for us
- Cloudflare hosts nano and stores your account, designs and files.
- Resend sends sign-in links, invitations and notifications.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Google Fonts serves the fonts this site and many designs use, so Google sees your IP address when they load.
- Google, GitHub and Figma are involved only if you sign in or connect with them.
Cookies
We only use the cookies needed to sign you in. Your light or dark theme is remembered in your browser's storage. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
- Your account and designs, for as long as you have an account.
- Deleted designs stay in the trash for 30 days, then they're deleted for good.
- Unclaimed guest workspaces, for 2 hours.
- Exported files, for a day.
Your choices
You can export your designs at any time, and disconnect Figma from the import dialog. To get a copy of your data, correct it or delete your account, email hello@nano.design. We reply within 30 days.
If you're in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
When this page changes, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how your data is used, we'll email you before it takes effect.
