The ground rules

These terms apply when you use nano, whether you sign in yourself or an agent works for you. By using nano you agree to them. They're short, so please read them.
The short version
- You own your designs. We only use them to run nano for you.
- You're responsible for your account and for what your agents do with it.
- One editor is free. On the Team plan you pay for each editor, and can cancel any time.
- Don't use nano for anything illegal or harmful.
Your account
Keep your sign-in and any agent keys safe, and tell us at hello@nano.design if you think someone else has access. You're responsible for what happens in your account, including in teams you own or manage.
Your designs
What you make in nano belongs to you, or to whoever you made it for. You give us permission to store, process and show your designs only as needed to run nano for you and the people you share them with. We don't claim any other rights to them, and we don't train AI models on them.
Make sure you have the right to use what you upload, such as images and fonts.
AI agents
Agents you connect act with your access, and you're responsible for what they do in nano, just as if you'd done it yourself. Your use of an agent is also governed by its provider's terms.
Guest workspaces that agents start without an account are temporary. Unclaimed ones are deleted after 2 hours.
Acceptable use
Don't use nano to:
- break the law or infringe anyone else's rights;
- share malware, or content that's abusive, hateful or sexually exploits anyone;
- attack, overload or get around the limits of nano, or access other people's data;
- resell nano or create guest workspaces in bulk to avoid paying.
If you do, we may remove the content or suspend the account. Where we can, we'll tell you first.
Plans and billing
- Free includes one editor. Viewers are always free, and agents never take a seat.
- Team is billed for each editor, monthly or yearly, in advance, through Stripe. Adding editors mid-period is charged pro rata.
- Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund partial periods, unless the law requires it.
- Prices may change. We'll email you at least 30 days before a change applies to your plan.
The service
We work hard to keep nano running and your designs safe, but nano is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. Export anything you can't afford to lose. We may change or retire features; if we ever shut nano down, we'll give you at least 30 days to export your designs.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be limited by law.
Ending
You can stop using nano and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend accounts that break these terms. What happens to your data after that is covered in our privacy policy.
Changes
When these terms change, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll email you before it takes effect. Questions? Email hello@nano.design.
